Ship Leesoo
He is a great character and i can somewhat see myself in him.
He has no uber powers, not even hidden uber powers, he ist just a smart guy.
but not the average smart guy who manipulates everyone arround him and always sets on the poker face, like koon (though i love koon^^), but he is a rather sektchy, funny character who sometimes loses his cool.
Also, he is a nice guy and cheers people up instead of beginning to get envious with all those strong people arround him like Ho did.
His relationships with other characters always made me want to see more, exspecially the Anak-Ship synergy and his relationshiip with serena (sad thing she's out)
I knew i would love him when he got into hatsu's and Anak's battle by accident and was totally freaked out.
As for other characters on my top list, there's Baam and 'omg' Lahel.
It's just some unique setting which makes those characters interesting.
Baam is a very good protagonist, actually the first protagonist in a shonen styled comic i really like and Lahel is more than just the usual sidekick girlfriend in spe role.
We don't know enough about Lahel yet but she's everything else but a boring character.
However, the MAnhwa is rather young and there are already many very likeable and/or interesting characters, so i guess many toplists will change in the next 20 chapters.

Bit late but added!Koon used to be my favorite. I don't know why, but I switched to Lero-ro.
Could you add Enryu up there Mr.Grumpy? I'd vote for him.

I definitely like the crocodile-gator-thing the most. He's the most entertaining character I have come across in awhile.

My favorite character is Anak. She's amazing. She has her reason for doing what she's doing and she's doing it all on her own. She's slowly starting to trust her teammates, and maybe she'll eventually think of them as friends.
Then there's Rak. PESKY TURTLES!
And Ship-Lessoo. He's just too good to not be up there. ^^

Poor Laure lol. I completely forgot about him. It's his fault for always sleeping. Due to that, the author gives him less screen time. xD

Twenty-fifth Baam (Protagonist, irregular)
Well, he is the main character so he must be awesome. also i kinda like his personality ^^
Yuri Jahad (Tomboy princess)
i like her personality she acts how she wants to. also she is fearless
Evan (Yuri's guide)
compared to yuri, he has a brain also he is the person who thinks without acting, not like the tomboy princess <3
Koon Agero Agnis (aka Koon)
Evil genuis, towards unknown people however he is nice to his friends, he can't even lie towards baam but when planning something and lying towards people he don't know he is the master!
Rak Wraithraiser (aka Mr. Rak)
One which searched to become stronger, he is rather stupid and acts like everyone is his prey. but it's most likely his mouth is big but his heart is big.
Anak Jahad (aka Lizard / Jr.)
typical tsundere like behavior, she acts like she has no interest in other people, she hates princesses, she searched revenge which is the cause of her behavior most likely she do not want to lose sight of her goal and she does not want to be hurt. however after a while she starts to losen up and she was the first one that said she'll help baam. because koon betrayed him, of course that was a scheme to make people want to help baam but koon never told anyone however rak noticed and acted in the play.
Hatsu (Sword guy)
Shy, silent boy who is a great swordsman. he has great potential and will definitely grow!
Ship Leesoo (Purple sweatsuit guy)
He is stupid, weak, don't know when to give up. also Anak loosened up the most because of him. although i think he will be gone later. because he probably can't even make it to floor 30 because his shinsoo resistance is bad.
Lero-ro (2nd floor administrator)
Acts friends, probably he is friendly however you don't want to catch him in a bad mood. he's open for everything and he might even help you when he is interested.
Phonsekal Laure (Sleepy)
Although he sleeps a lot, he is strong and dependable when needed. he even might come from a great family since ren talked about two guys are certain passed( probably koon, and laure )
Androssi Jahad (Princess)
personally, i think she fits with koon, she can be nice however you don't want to catch her in a bad mood and as an enemy. She seems like she is open for everything however she acts because she wants to not because someone ask her.

no i think i disagree big time with your stimation of ship leesoo yes he might be underdog i mean like how ten times worse underdog then baam but he has a lot of brains courage and he is kinda like the glue of the group (baam being the reason there is a group on the first place), and yes he has bad shinsso resistance but quaam becam a ranker and he was probably like him execept less smart i think he will be one of the last characters to fall and will become stronger than people think he will

@Laurens I agree with all of them, except with Ship's description. 
Don't forget about the skirmishes between Hatsu and Koon. xD

Same here. His character is pure gold. I mean, remember the first time he appeared? I was literally laughing my heart out. I simply couldn't stuff laughing. About his shinsoo resistance: I think Lero-ro wouldn't allow them to pass if he though that. After all, they had lots of difficulties getting through what was described as "normal" in the upper floors. so very true i mean if he leaves i don't see any of the other regular being as funny as him like when bull ignore him he told then to come back because he was delicious i almost i was chocking on air because i was laughting so much his natural comedic relief

Anyway, I think I've already answered to this once. But it's been so long... The best characters, imho, would be Quant and Lero-ro. Quant's da bomb... And Lero-ro's character design is still supreme.
Still, if I had to pick a character that has the best design and most well-rounded personality overall, it would have to be either Androssi, Koon, or Ship. Those are the characters that seem most alive, or most sympathetic (in the sense that you can relate to them).

I think most, if not all, of the characters currently taking the test will be heading up the tower in a group, even though I want that green spear bearer to drop out most of all. They do make a good, solid team with plenty of oppurtunities for both strength gain and humourous/serious situations with each other.
In response to everyone's opinions about Ship, I think you're really underestimating him. In the test of doors, he was the only one who saw through the test, and in the guardian's examination, he possessed the knowledge of the dogs moving underground.
Personally, I think he has all the qualities to back up the team as a guide instead of scout, and I would be happy to see him in that role. To me, he seems to put off an Evan vibe (who also has served as comic relief in the pit scene). As for growth, I feel that he is capable of climbing the tower, just not as fast as the others. It took Yuri something like a century after all, and that was considered fast.
