I love these games to death, to the point where I was thinking of making this discussion thread :o. What do you think of either franchise? Which one do you prefer more? Is it even possible to have any more unresolved, open ended relationships than the main attorneys have? Why is Luke such a ladies man? I hope I'm not the only one on these forums who've clocked at least 20 hours per game for each game QQ

I'm currently playing through Miles Edgeworth. I've played all the Ace series with the exception of Apollo. Couldn't find myself enjoying it.

Apollo wasn't that bad, though admittedly I would rather have seen the original PW saga continue. But yeah, it's definitely one of my favorite game series; you're not alone on the clocking thing. I've played through each PW game twice. ;o Layton isn't quite on the same level, but I enjoy those games a lot too; currently playing Phantom Spectre. (That was the name of it, right? >_>) Also I can barely wait for that crossover. I want it and I want it right the f NOW.

I actually played Apollo before I played any of the original PW games XD I loved them all though, and I must say the originals really did grow on me more than Apollo did. I haven't played a Layton game yet, even though I've heard so much about them. I was considering getting one in Japanese, since they have a furigana version, but importing is always so expensive...

It seems I need to clarify myself. I didn't hate Apollo by any mean. It just didn't motivate me to finish it like all the other games. In all Ace games there was this urge for me to complete cases, discover truths, and "get to the bottom of this.", but I didn't feel that in Apollo. I can't explain that.
