I realize we haven't released any chapters here yet, but we're about ready to release chapters for Fuku Neko,
so I'd like to request contributor status so I can upload said chapters once finished.

You don't have chapters or a group site or anything yet. On that basis, I can't give you contributor status based on group affiliation.
I will consider your application based on experience, and I don't see that you have any upload experience. Denied for now.
