UPDATE! BatoDark LV2 theme released!

Ever wish the background would just fade away so you can focus more on your manga/manhwa/manhua/lolcat gallery?
Batoto a bit too white for your tastes? Crave a little more diversity? Well then give BatoDark a try!
(formerly "Batoto Dark")


All you need is the cross-platform addon "Stylish", for Firefox, or for Chrome.
The addon is completely safe. Any changes made by the addon, as well as installation of the addon itself, can be quickly and easily reversed.

After installing the addon, install the BatoDark theme here, and welcome to the Dark Side.

Still not dark enough? Try LV2 here, and take darkness to the next level.
WARNING!: Once you go black, you never go back.

Pro Tip: For an even better reading experience, check out this Style by hackito. That Style + BatoDark + F11 = WIN

Official Release v1.0: (Improvements since v0.9)
- BatoDark now fully works on both Sylo and IP Board themes!
- Comment box is now fixed. Text should now be visible in the normal text editor. You can type messages as usual, however Firefox users now have a dark text box. Chrome users still have the same white text box. This is not intentional, it's just how the browsers work, for better or for worse.
- All known contrast issues have been resolved.
(Thanks to Nibenon Wyrdfell for pointing out that pesky ipb_table value. It actually affects more than I thought it did, so I limited changes to only the "Follows" page and applied a very subtle alternating pattern to help differentiate entries in a long list.)

Known issues:
- All known issues in v0.9 have been resolved in v1.0.

Please let me know if you spot any further issues.

I was actually thinking of that the other day...I've always preferred my sites a little more on the dark side. Too much white hurts the eye. Thanks for this.

i think it would be problematic if you install that add-on
but i don't know if you can turn things back

and i heard Grumpy was planning to get a special theme for Batoto
and i think they'll install it with that new ipboard
(it may be probably silver theme of ipboard community i don't know exactly,
I talked about this issue with Trebor and he agreed with Batoto needs a dark reading theme, i think it was a month ago)

i personally use sylo theme since it is much darker.

indeed it is your own risk. Good luck with it.

Whoa, this dark theme looks very, very sugoi.

I'll try it for sure. I've been using IP.Board theme for quite a while since the Sylo theme looks boring, but this dark theme made me change my mind, heh.

Well I prefer Stylish so I exported this into CSS, fixed the follows (u forgot the background of ipb_table) and imported it nicely on both chrome and firefox!

For chrome just get the app Change Colors and you can change the colors

I looks nice, but I prefer the classic white background. But this still looks good, it will work as a good substitute until Batoto allows theme changes (if ever). (:

LV2 is very dark but I love it, don't think I will go back to the batoto white meat site.
I wonder how this works, it feels that it is just changing the .css and .style file it is using
