Who is your favorite character and why?

Well besides the other topic that I been following, I been wondering what characters people like in CotA or IR. We can all kind of guess whose Coca's favorite.

Of course I like the protagonist from IR Jae Hyuk Chae. He has awesome powers, good goals, and not one of those protagonist who forgives people to easily. Even though I thought he was a unfair to Serin at times but over time things were fixed. In CotA I kind of was disappointed when I found out Nex was Jae, I was wondering why he became like that, but then I got use to him and thought he still a cool character. Only thing is I still hate how he is treating Serin. Starting to think it is Semek's fault for what happen between them.

But no Jae not my favorite character. My favorite character is Depore. She an awesome magic stone, sword. She has gone through betrayal. She is devoted to Jae, and was baddass when she chose Jae instead of that other guy. She's a hilarous character like when she connected to Oski castle and what she saw there, and when she asked Jae to buy her the expensive dress, plus she gave advice to Xix on how to get close to Nex to attack him, and then says it does not matter since he is weak lol. Only problem I have with Depore is her lying to Jae about Serin, but it's okay now I guess.

So who is your favorite?

Nex!
Why?
'Cuz he's the incarnation of badassery!
Even in the first season, Immortal Regis, I liked him.
Why?
'Cuz of beautiful scenes, such as when he snapped at Serin, nearly ripping her throat open by sinking his teeth into her. Sigh~ that beautifully disturbed expression of hers...

Nex and Depore for sure.

My title is "Who is your favorite character and why?". But it seems that on some comments, including my own, we stated more then one character. That why i said I should changed it but nvm. Also on I will not be commenting anymore on this since I already said who my favorite is, and I don't want to go off topic.

I think I like XIX better. I don't like Regis cause he has such a harem already, lol leave the spotlight for your son man. And the other reason is Regis has become such an ass.

nex and depore because even though at first sight he seems to be an ass, it is obvious that something terrible happened to make him act like that and also because since owen still calls him his friend that means that what he did was right.As for depore, she is just too cute: "how can it not happen?"(jealousy and envy)

Nex and Depore. I like Nex because he and I are a lot alike. You wouldn't like a guy like Nex in real life and a lot of people don't care much for me because I speak and live in absolutes. Nex has that power, that aura, that oppressive persona that breathes my way or the highway. He's callous to most people as he doesn't care for them nor should he. He never asked to be a hero or the leader of chaos. It was thrust upon him so why should he go out of his way to please a republic not worthy of his concern?

He's also unpredictable at times and doesn't give off that whiff of fruitiness you get from most heroes of this same genre. Only thing I can knock Nex for is like some of you said, how he treated Serin but I'm fairly certain she must have done something to bring it upon herself.

I also like Depore because her personality is very contradictory and at odds with the world she lives in. At times she can be very cavalier, and jealously clingy around Nex and at other times she's hiding so much pain caused by untold centuries of loneliness. Nevermind the fact that she's always been looked at as a weapon. I like the relationship she has with Nex because while the author has at one point tried to make it a romance thing (girl loves guy guy is too emo to notice), they seem to have settled into some sort of bond that goes beyond a man and a woman. If I had to put it into words I'd say their souls are connected without them being "involved" in a traditional sense.

They understand each other's loneliness, their pain, their despair.
