Can you please add a small css tweak for iPad 3 resolution? Right now batato looks something like that on the device and... Well... It bother me.
I'm not a programmer and hate css, but this would do

/* iPad 3rd gen Specific		 */
@media only screen and (device-width: 1536px) {
table.ipb_table .expander,
table.ipb_table .ipsModMenu { visibility: visible; opacity: 0.2; }
.post_block .post_controls { opacity: 1 !important; }
}
Although I just copied other properties from original sylo ipad tweak and don't know what they do ( ̄~ ̄;) But at least it works, i've tested.

If you have this problem, I suggest to use the Dolphin Browser app and set it to Desktop Mode.
It works just fine and the one won't die because of one more browser app on his 16GB device.

What do you want to achieve with that "tweak"?

Auto-scale would be nice. How it's looks now, how it should be looking.
Well, I myself know where the the problem lies and can just use another browser app to imitate desktop with a user-agent settings, but I thought I would better to let you know. After all, Sylo already has an ipad css properties, why not to make a little improvement?

It because Sylo (theme which batoto is using) don't even know about 3rd gen ipad. I sure it's works fine on first and second one, but third have bigger resolution (2048×1536 compare to 1024×768).

quora - How does the new iPad's resolution play with responsive design?

I'm quite confused how our site, with minimal 960 resolution (plus bezel) has a problem with a WIDER resolution. @.@
Max supported resolution for our site is infinite as it's a percentage value.

From your screenshot, it looks like it's rendering at < 1024 resolution and then choosing to cut off the rest... It's like... wtf...

I want to ask a stupid question of: are you sure you aren't zoomed in? first...

No, I'm not.

I have no idea about css logic. Honestly, I doubt such thing even exist. It's more like sorcery in Magica. But when Magika is a fun game, css just annoying pain in ass. Sorry, css devs.

If you have an android smartphone, you can Install Dolphin Browser. It has settings that can change your user-agent to desktop, iphone or ipad. It will show you that batoto, at least, has a specific ipad css properties.
Same for Dolphin Browser for ipad. Batoto works absolutely fine with user-agent set to desktop.

I've tested Sylo yesterday and somehow managed to get things to work with piece of code from first post in the topic. But I'm not a programmer, so it would be better to talk with IPBSkinning devs.

CSS actually makes a lot of sense if you actually delve into it. In the mean time, I would suggest you get Opera for your iPad until this problem is resolved. It's a good browser that should not have this problem.

It seems like he already has a personal solution, but suggesting a global solution.

I'll put the ipad3 tweak in the next time I mod the skins.

Thanks.

Looks like it has — because it's not a browser problem.

Grumpy, thanks.

That is indeed weird. o.o What user-agent does Opera say it is reporting?

@Grumpy: As a iPhone developer myself, let me share a short insight on apples stupidity.

When they first made iPhone, with a measly 320x480 (if memory serves) resolution, they made the programming model to make sure that you could never take the code from an iPhone application and run it on another resolution. So, when they were to make the iPhone 4 (which they wanted to have bigger resolution) they figured "hey, we fucked up big time, right?". Their solution to this, however, was not to remake UIKit to account for multiple resolutions (you know, because they're apple). What they did was to make the iPhone 4 screen exactly 2 times as big in both direction (in other words 4 times the number of pixels), and then they just scaled everything made for the old iPhone by 2 (meaning you'd get scaled images looking all pixelated and stuff). This is also the reason running iPhone apps on the iPad sucks (unless the apps has been made specifically to run on both devices).

Now, you'd think that when they made the iPad they'd learned, right? But remember, we're still talking about apple here, so unfortunately that's not the case. Therefor the iPad 3 resolution is also exaclty 4x the old iPad resolution. And you have to remember; if you increase the resolution by that much without making the screen significantly bigger, everything is just going to get really tiny and unreadable if you don't do some scaling; so here's my guess on how the browser does things: It renders the page in general as if it had 1024×768 in resolution; however; stuff regarding the actual width of the screen (might be images, though I'm not sure) will still be told the screen is actually 2048×1536. So I'm also guessing you'll find a
@media only screen and (device-width: 768px)
directive in your css-file, which makes the design work for the old iPad, but on this I'm only guessing. I hope this has shred some light on why increased pixel-amount on the new iPad does not necessarily mean you get more screen-realestate to play with, and as to why you should all avoid apple.

XD thx for the info.
And check on that last point. Already doing so and will continue to do so. Mostly b/c I find their stuff over priced.

Well, it maybe so with laptops and desktops, but in terms of mobile devices the price is same as others. And if you buy apple stuff you'll get guaranteed updates and support, that I can't say about Android. I owned four android smarpthones, witch I had update by myself with laggy custom roms because HTC and Motorola was too busy making new flagships every f. week.

Now I'm stick with htc thunderbolt, first 4g verizon smartprone. May I tell you how much troubles it had? Forget about 4g, most of the time even 3g was too good for plebs as myself. It took verizon-htc about six or so months to get radio work properly.

I can continue, but it's pointless. There ain't such thing as «good company» in this world. All big corporations are pure evil. I hate google as much I hate apple, microsoft or canon, but for them those holy wars are only free ad.

Depends how big. Also, I find Sega to be a pretty good company, even if they are very blind.

Hi guys, reached this page by googling iPad + Batoto. Am having the same problem on my iPad 3. It can get pretty tedious after awhile as you have to zoom out after every page click. Even here in the forums.

That aside, wanted to thank you guys for this awesome website. Pretty amazing work. My go to destination for Mangas.

Keep up the good work.

I thought of waiting until 3.3, but that's taking a bit of time. So, I just applied this.

Kinda just assumed what Halo said is correct.

Also, might want to try hitting hard refresh.
Ctrl + F5 in most browsers.
