Well they have to make money right? Nothing is free in life.
That was unnecessary. Of course nothing is free in life but that was just uninformed and rude.
Announcement of the game ending only came on the 1st of June. Previously during February and March, while it was speculated to end or not, the announcement was it would continue, except with the two main servers merged instead, with the end possibly at the later (end) part of the year.
Their cash items are fixed, inventory slot fixed and various other fixed assets that can not be moved around.
New gamers who just joined at the start of this year bought items limited to certain time spans/uses. Not to mention daily reduction of loyalty points even for cash pets which could result in the lost of said pet keeps gamers on the servers all the time.
There was no loyalty care for the customers and that is why I made my complaint. Ask before you shoot.

They reserve the right to end their services without any refunds. (we are lazy and never read when we sign up but its the same for any game)

Just saying that them refunding the last 2 months is something you should be grateful for. They reserve the right to end their services without any refunds. (we are lazy and never read when we sign up but its the same for any game)
I'm not saying that they must refund but should. We're talking about two different things here.
While you are holding true to legalities, what I'm talking about is customer loyalty care. It is not necessary but preferable to maintain company reputation and customer satisfaction.
Initially, it was only for the month of June but extended into the May period due to mass dissatisfaction. The announcement was sudden and opposite of what was promised recently (Feb-Apr). In short, a secondary 'verbal' promise (which, in case you are unaware, is uphold-able in court). This led to people continuing to purchase services that would extend (time limited items) for a few months more. Personally being there, people were previously discussing if they should drop buying the services (and just end with their current time limits) when that announcement came out. If I wanted to put it even more negatively, it can even be legally considered as misrepresentation.
So while they can legally terminate whenever they want to, ethically they should have announced or give a proper warning ahead of time so that their customers can choose to continue paying this game or another of their other games. It's not like their company is going bankrupt or making a loss from the game. There are still plenty of cash item buying/ regular paying customers on DOMO. They also have other games. The termination was due to lessened interest (because they opened new games).
There was more than enough time to inform the players of the termination. It's not like their customers will suddenly dessert them.
The lack of customer loyalty care hurts their image.
It's like if you paid 900 for a three month spa course, went only for about a month and the spa center closes down to move to another town three states across.

That is one of the reasons I dislike cash shops though. Redundancy is such a huge factor. If I invest $50 into some extra stuff and then I get bored of the game a month later, that money's just been wasted. Or maybe they come out with something newer and nicer and suddenly my new thing is obsolete. Or maybe they shut down the game and I don't even get to fully use it. So many ways to waste money that I don't even need to spend in the first place. So if I'm playing a free game, I just don't take that risk.

To win a fight, you dont need physical strength. You dont need to be brave, or even a good fighter. You just need to think. You need to outsmart your opponent. Oh, and not be a total wimp.
