In real life it's rape.

In borderline-h it's a legit way to getting a girl horny.

Don't discuss manga using real life examples, use examples from other ecchi/hentai mangas to prove your point.

I see what you mean.. but..you can always find a manga to support that then, would be like using unscientific studies in trials...

But then.. we are discussing
"Is there when a no means no"
This is pretty generic,
in manga, most of the times in this kind of situation no means absolute nothing.. its almost like a moan.. the more no you get the better you are!

Don't diss mozaic!!! You can kinda make stuff up...

Better then some black bar!

And about the "its only a manga"... doesn't mean you can't discuss about the theme..
Also why did you say its only a manga, AFTER having posted your oppinion on a discussion forum about the manga..

You can just tell that to yourself.. something like "tsc morons, discussing about something thats not even real" and move on to your important business whatever..

Yet, you come, post, give a half ass argument without any support, and pull a " its a manga.. " at the end, are you an IDIOT?

Sorry if you didnt get my point. All i meant is that its ok to discuss, but useless to argue about this since "its just a manga". I meant it as someone else already said, its like a moan. Also, i think your the one insulting someone elso, to prove your point...

I think it's probably still fine until the girl starts screaming or putting up real physical resistance. Of course, that's assuming the girl is sober. In this case, he's definitely pushing his luck too far.

"All i meant is that its ok to discuss, but useless to argue about this since "its just a manga"."
By your logic, if the discussion is about the manga, its useless.. therefore this whole forum is useless... and why are you in there then if is useless to discuss about it.. or you are simply being a idiot discussing something pointless by your views? OR you want to impose YOUR point of view that the discussion is useless... if you want to force that onto people, be at least more convicing on your argument other then "its only a manga" like calling someone poopface..

or you want to discuss it as long its not is in a manga context?
if its not.. its simple, a no is a no its a rape its a crime, even if you do it, and the girl don't report you might get found by some parent or relative, or friend, and they will personaly fuck you up.. at least I'd do it, and make sure to chop you in little pieces and feed to dogs..

Yes, there's a point where no means no. This is when she (or he lol) bites off you penis. See Shamo for a graphical example.

Shamo is quite a unique manga.

Anyway, I'm all behind rape being bad, since forcing anything on anyone is generally a negative thing... but I wonder why sex is viewed as being as being wrong somehow, even though it's totally integral to the survival of our species. Just food for thought, I guess.

I think it's just an asian thing, y'know. Lyk in white pr0n, the women tend to say "oh yes oh yes" but in azn pr0n (specially jpn pr0n), they keep moaning "no no no" while making constipated faces.

It's somewhat cultural, I guess. They may say no because they don't really like it or cuz in their culture, being open and say "yes" makes them sound like sluts. Many books about jpnese culture that I've read all mentioned about this "modesty" thing... lyk when they want you to go buy groceries, they won't outrightly ask you but instead beating around the bush by saying "sure is cold today" or something like that.

From what little I remember from Tale of Genji, I think Genji forces himself on Asagao (and I believe that Kaoruko mentions this in an earlier chapter)--i.e. rape--and the whole thing is presented in a somewhat comedic light.

Oh, Heian nobility cultural values, you so silly. :P

I think the point everyone is missing is, its only rape if the girl (or boy in some cases) in question views it as rape. If we put statutory rape to the side, rape falls under the same pretext as harassment, if you feel you're being harassed (or raped) you can charge said person with harassment (rape). They aren't interchangeable by any means but the idea behind the each is quite similar. If you had sex and felt it was rape or against your will, then its illegal. If it wasn't then its not. That's how rape works. So back to the beginning if she doesn't think its rape its not rape. End of discussion.

Now, now, let's not write off the discussion.

I don't disagree but then the entire purpose of the discussion is that she is saying no but doesn't really seem to mean it (I've actually heard of this in real life, can't imagine it'd make things simple) and that it might even be a conditioned response.

Actually, to be more precise, he has definitely not engaged in rape, what he's done so far would have constituted harassment, but he wouldn't stick it in if she was saying no.

I think we should all agree now that he was definitely forcing himself and that her no's are in fact or no's and not "I want more, but I'm denying you so you come at me stronger". I mean come on, she even tried to escape. She's even slapped him too. If that's not a no then I believe there's a few people here who need a reality check.

While his isn't engaged rape, it is definitely sexual assault.

P~retty sure she gives him the okay half-way through, let's settle down on attacking each other, we're trying to analyze the situation.

Personally, I think that the okay, compared to the intensity of her rejection, was half-assed. There has been no rape as of yet since it can all be classified under "sexual assault/molestation", but even with her ok if they were to have sex, it would still be considered date rape at the very least.

From dictionary.com:

Date Rape:
. an act of sexual intercourse regarded as tantamount to rape, esp if the woman was encouraged to drink excessively or was subjected to undue pressure

Of course, I'm with everyone and agree that since this is a manga, this is all just to spice up or "enhance" the moment when she finally gives in. Which, with manga/anime logic, makes it completely all right.

One of the aspects of rape is 'absolute control/dominance over the victim'. IMO, the main character was very close to that line with his cousin.

Power without Love leads to tyranny. Love without Power to protect will fade.

The only absolute thing about absolute techniques is that sooner or later somebody absolutely breaks them.

There are no fan-boys. Just an-girls who don't need a bra and their plumbing is on the outside.

Glad to see that most people on here agree that that was too far. I was almost afraid that this was a forum full of rapists lol.
