I'm nearsighted (nearly -6). So yes... I have to wear glasses or contacts. My contacts are rigid and shouldn't get near water.

For those nearsighted people: do you watch things differently too? I tend use my ears more than my eyes for detecting traffic for example.

To recognize people I need them to move so I can see how they move. That's how I mostly recognize them. It would be my only option if I don't have my glasses :).

I have -6 and -4. Because of the difference I have a bad field of depth without my glasses -> sucks...

I heard things like people with contact lenses not being able to have the heater on in the car for too long or such through, 'cause it apparently dries the lenses.. Is that true ?


I guess it does. I haven't worn contacts that long, because of my already dried eyes. Wind can indeed dry them out.

yush i have very dry eyes as well... i use eyedrops all the time tho ;)

and i have multifocal glasses ew x.x

lol i know what you mean :x I tend to recognise ppl by their hair without my glasses/contacts xD and yeah i think all shortsighted people have bad depth perception t.t I remember it being funny when I just started wearing mine u.u

I have bad eyes.... but I dun like to wear glasses, and contacts scare me, so I only wear my glasses when I need to see something far away, or to look smart. Beside that, I normally dont wear them.

I have a pair, but I can see fine without them yet whenever I wear them I keep getting surprised.
Example:

*wears glasses*
Holy *bleep* !! I can see in HD!!!

End of example.

yet the difference is very tiny :P.

I once wear a fake glass back in highschool. But it's hard to use cause I can't read that better even if it's just a fake one

I don't have glasses, but I want glasses. I've asked lots of people in my group if they wear glasses- some of them say that I have a glasses fetish. I don't >_<

I tried. I'm a bookworm and such who reads late at night, stayed up in front of the computer and yet 20-20 vision is it.
But I guess I should be thankful though.
