My favorite is Ken Kitano because he fights for what he believes in and most of the time he kicks ass.

every character of the main group could have his own spin off like with Yumin.

I tried hard to think of someone else but its gotta be Ken for me. He's a little too simple minded at times but he can also say or do something that would mentally astound most. For some reason he's staying faithful to Yumin though in the back of his mind he thinks it'll never work out while he's a gang boss. He's interesting.

The reason Ken gets my vote is not just because he kicks ass and is the main character.
He's one of those epic, motivated, self-assured, will-beat-any-situation-with-passion types of characters that is in any great fighting comic. But, most of them are flawed, start to get on your nerves, are overly arrogrant, or just are fueled simply by a plot shield. The single most prominent example that comes to my mind is Naruto. Great character, but is only alive because of a plot shield. His opponents are rediculously OP. I've also read GTO, but decided to drop it somewhere after ch 100 because his mood changes were getting too annoying.
Ken is one of two characters like this who is not flawed. He just keeps being impressive. I don't get annoyed by him either.
The other one is Joukyuu from Aiki, but he's an entirely different flavor.

Pickaxe, definately. He's just spastic, weird, little monkey-headed pervert, and much more imaginable than any of the 'noble' characters. People are kind of jerks, at one point or another. They get better, though. Ken fits the main character mold, but he's kind of like an outline. He looks and acts like most every other main character around, though he does differentiate a little. He's better than an average hero. Tae-soo is your average mysterious guy. Yumin and Kae-lyn are interesting, but they get treated really badly. Pickaxe kind of changes throughout the story. He's the only one who didn't think about just submitting to Ken's will in the first place. Which is normal, because if you and all your friends started doing whatever this guy said, you'd have to wonder who he is or if he's going to get all of your friends killed. Eventually, he gets over it, and goes on to have a really good trusting relationship with Ken and the other members. If the casino scene was any indication, it doesn't seem like the other members really agreed to share their good and bad secrets with Ken. Pickaxe is the only one that tells him everything, after their fight. Even about his disgusting wang. ...Ew. I just thought about the beads. Maybe Pickaxe isn't that cool.
