and if i do that i should probably also buy baccano and a few manga series at the same time

This is becoming one of those topics where you just leave a comment and not read anyone elses......

I'm currently reading The Selfish Gene by Richard Dawkins, I really recommend this to anyone who has any hint of interest in science.

I have three readings to use for an essay and "The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas" was one of them. Are her books good?

I went through a Dan Brown craze before.


Read Six Graves to Munich by Mario Puzo. I think I'm just going to get the rest of the books that he wrote and read them just to say that I read all of his books.

So I have left:
-Fools Die
-The Fourth K
-The Godfather Papers
-Inside Las Vegas
-The Family

Also, currently reading Wealth of Nations.

Well... the narrative style isn't exactly my favourite, so I'm kinda biased :P I think that her books are pretty good tho, I'm not sure if it's just me, but she always leaves a very broad ending ;_; and i find it rather anticlimatic

like i said, I'm biased xD

It's a bit dangerous to get me started on books...
A wise man once said, if you want to find your happiness in life, there are three key things to do. Be true to yourself, Never give up, and Read The Name of the Wind and Wise Man's Fear, by Patrick Rothfuss.
No, seriously... do it now, thank me later. Rothfuss is a god!

Also highly recommended, if you are into philosophy / physics and sci fi, Neal Stephenson's Anathem... its a 1000page monster, and most people won't like it, but if it's right for you, it will rock your world.

Then a bunch of awesome fantasy series:
The Painted Man, Peter V Brett
Any Robin Hobb
Lies of Locke Lamora, um.... dunno name of author, google it you lazy lazers
Joe Abercrombie's series... dunno the name :P his first 3 books, awesome set.
For people who like simpler things with more ninjas, Brent Weeks' Shadow's Edge series is genuinely badass.

Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. Rothfuss the Allfather blurbed it as follows: "Completely frickin awesome. This book pleased every geeky bone in my geeky body. I felt like it was written just for me.", and John Scalzi called it a Nerdgasm... I read it in seven hours straight, and the first thing I did when I put it down was rave about it on facebook :o.

That's the best I can do on the spot :P feel free to send me a message praising my exquisite taste in awesomeness, after having a taste of those beauties :D

I recently finished the Hunger Games series (read all three in three days) but the third book was a big let down.

However I'm rereading OP...Luffy always makes me laugh :)

right now i'm reading Man's Search For Meaning by Viktor E. Frankl. I meant to read this back in high school but i didn't get the chance
so i'm glad i could, now. Even the foreword was....inspiring enough. I can't wait to finish it.

I read a overview of the plot of the hunger games and decided I didn't want to put the effort in for that sort of ending.

Right now I'm reading A Game of Thrones, it's really good so far!
