Anyone else think that a Download button feature should get a higher priority? I often find myself needing to go somewhere without internet (like a bus or something) and wishing that I could download a manga so that I could read it while I'm away from the internet.

This feature is already available, but only to the staff. At the moment, Batoto does not plan on being a download site.

The bigger question is whether or not this should even be available at all. Staff needs it for... well, staff duties... But giving download access to the public is a whole new question.
Making download option available throws a lot of group rehosting policies in the air.
Also, there have even been suggestions/requests to make it harder to rip from batoto because we know some other sites are doing this. Download option goes in the complete opposite direction from that...

Batoto is not a download site, it's a reader site. if you want to download the manga go to the orginal scanlator website and pay your respect to them and download it from their website. and if you still want to download manga use domdomsoft manga downloader instead and download from mangafox or something. no one cares about them anyways

In that case, I think you should link into the scanlator's site when you go to the front page of any given manga. I don't have any problem downloading t from them it's just a pain to track down who does what. I definitely see your point though. I don't like dom-dom ripping from other sites unless I'm in a pinch cause their quality is universally bad, they watermark shit they don't deserve, and they take out credit pages, so If I want to visit the scanlators in the future it makes it harder to track them down.
In case it wasn't clear I totally support this site and really wouldn't want to do anything to damage it.

It is linked. You go to the manga, and click on the scanlator group, and their link is there. The way it's setup now, we link to the scanlator page from the comic and don't directly display their information. It could PROBABLY be put on there, but right now, you're still only one click away from the scanlator site.

I understand and usually I try to get mangas and manhwas from the scanlators' site but I can not always do that, because its quite often that it is impossible, for example inactive scanlation sites. So would it be possible for you guys to add the download link where it is not possible to get the scans because the group who did those scans no longer exists, and their site is gone?

This would take a lot of time for us to figure out what we can allow for download and what we can't and in a lot of cases it won't be obvious. Even if enabling the download feature for specific comics wasn't a problem (which it is) the time this would require isn't proportional to the benefits we could get out of it.
