The Reader's Choice I [Jan 15 - Feb 14]

This is the thread for the "The Reader's Choice" event we are doing.

Event starts on January 15th, and will end on February 14th.

You must post your requests in this thread or it will not count towards the final tally. The same normal requests rules apply to this event. When requesting a series, give its name whether in Japanese or English, and a link to the MangaUpdates page for that particular series. Any request that does not follow that will not count.

Read the second post for information on some already requested series.

Guidelines:

- A maximum of 3 series requests per person. Any person with 4 or more series requested will not be counted.
- No requests may have a genre of shoujo, josei, and yaoi or contain netorare (NTR). Anything else goes.
- You may only alter your requests if a series you have requested is listed in the second post.
- The series must not already be completely scanlated. This is a given, but for some reason, we have received requests to redo some series that are already done.
- No currently ongoing weekly manga. I don't quite like this stipulation, but public scans for weekly manga are typically very, very bad. On top of that, subscribing to a weekly magazine is completely out of the question.
- You may request a manga that is considered "active" by another group. However, if the series gets regular releases and/or is caught up on its scanlation, it will not be counted, and we will not do it.
- It's not a requirement, but if the series already has publicly available usable scans, then that would help doing the project immensely. It also means we'd be able to start on it earlier, as if I have to purchase anything, it will take more time before we can start on it.
- It is recommended that people request something that has been dropped previously, or stalled considerably. We are a group that specializes in such series.

Going to make this post a post specifically for information on some series that have been requested.

Some people seem to not have checked our projects page, which can be found here. As there have been some requests for series we are already doing or plan on doing. The requests for the series below are not counted.

Zetsurin! - This is already a planned project by us.
Puchi Houndo - This is already a planned project by us.
Yumekuri - This is already a planned project by us.
Mushi to Medama to Teddy Bear - roan noticed this was requested, he contacted the group he translates it for, and they say they're still doing it.
Fukanzen Shinsei Kikan Iris - This is a new project pickup by the group Kiss Scans.
Kitsune no Yomeiri - This is already a planned project by us.
MM! - This is already an ongoing project by us.
Highschool of the Dead - The series is on hiatus in Japan, and has been for some time. Once news of it coming back from its hiatus hits (if it ever does), I'll definitely be looking into doing it, though.
Mondaiji tachi ga Isekai Kara kuru soudesuyo? - This is already an ongoing project by us.
Kandachime - As far as I'm aware VisTrans is continuing it again now.
OZ - This was/is an ongoing project by us, but Mixini seems to be releasing it again, so its current status by us is unknown, but one way or another it releases will get out there by someone.

The requests for the series are counted for now. I say for now, but the only way any of the series will be removed is if they start getting updates within the next few weeks.

Omae no Gohoushi wa Sono Teido ka? - More chapters of this should come soon, but I have no idea for sure. roan contacted the translator for the series, who said that he sent the group doing it half of the next chapter's translation.
Metal Heart - I received a request for this last month, and was going to pick it up, but the public scans for the series aren't debinded and iMS still considers it "active." Though if the public scans for it were usable, we'd already be doing it.

Kanade and Tsuzumi need members for their girl pop band, Angelilly. They think they’ve found two: Katsuragi Taichi, who wants to be like Cayenne, a guitarist from his favorite heavy metal band, Gigaween, and Maikura Uta, who wants to sing a solo part in chorus class as well as her sempai, Shiin. Now, Kanade and Tsuzumi have tricked Katsuragi and Maikura into joining their band under false pretenses. The two don’t know what they’re getting into, but their new life is just beginning.

(only 2 volumes and 7 chapters to wrap it up).
