Trying to be optimistic this week worked well enough, but, more and more I just feel drained and I get irritated by the smallest things. Why do things feel so bad even though nothing bad is going on? I don't understand it. orz

I'm kinda disappointed in technology. I thought by now there would be an autocorrect function that'd be able to distinguish between when I'm talking about deserts and desserts.

So once again the sky outside my window is gold and crimson from smoke, but this time the fire's not as close. However, this fire is causing more breathing and visibility problems than the one right next to town. Hm...

Back in my college days, I stood outside the balcony and saw that the smog from the industrial heartland would blend into the clouds giving them this nice hue. My roomate who was an LA native knew them well... on really bad days, the school would fly this flag and send everybody home.

I used to have to deal with smog a lot (I lived in a town surrounded by five meat packing plants at the time), but now not so much. The smoke doesn't bother me much, but the fine layer of ash creeping through all the cracks in my house is a bit annoying... Good thing school's already out here, otherwise they would've had to send everybody home early.
