To find out what happened to him he asked his teacher for help, who has friends, who deal with fortunetelling and supernatural powers. Here he finds the answer to his strange condition: He is supposed to be a "higher ghost", who takes the position of a dead or soon-dying person. Ugh, it's so confusing and chaotic... it's even worse than the prequel in that aspect.
BUT, I can't say this series didn't intrigue me

Now that I read this I see what you mean, none of the characters (yet?) are related to the "prequel" not only that this is talking about a story that looks like it would have happened before the 1800's and these characters are a reincarnation of that story... maybe there is a third story which this is the sequel too?

I realy, REALY liked Zero: the beginning and this seems good aswell, but it seems to have been dropped, but it is not marked as dropped on Village Idiots homepage.

So, this zero: circle of flow is a sequel to Zero: the beginning, from the look of it. Hopefully it should be longer than chapter 70 (as I felt zero: the beginning is too short, like 'psyren' manga in some sense).

Look forward to read this manga in any case.
