And about the info wow they really have beard? Thats a damn powerful medicament, i mean they actually can become more manly than a real guy (in some cases obviously).

Yes, a transman can grow facial hair - though like with all men, facial hair growth is also largely due to their genetics. As are size and shape, Tetsuo is Japanese so naturally even with hormones he wouldn't necessarily turn into Buck Angel (a rather famous transman). Muscular development also depends on ones exercise regime, Tetsuo doesn't pump iron so again, he's not going to be Buck Angel.

The timing of ones transformation is also hugely important in how your body changes. Starting hormone therapy in the teens (before or during puberty) will have a very big significance in the amount ones body will change (a transman taking hormones in their teens will never develop breasts for example) but Tetsuo's transformation was relatively late in his development so in order for him to remove all feminine traits - he'd need complicated cosmetic surgery (breast removal and jaw remodeling at the very least, I believe now they can even add an adam's apple as well as the dangly bits though many transgendered people forgo that step for various reasons) none of which was available at the time the manga's set in.

Basically, they did/do the same thing as Tetsuo, but their results go way beyond Tetsuo's. It's not only the voice change, there's also muscle growth (consequently increase of strength), the body changes into a more man-like shape and there's also the hair growth throughout the body. They have beard, man!!! I don't know how much time Tetsuo's been taking the shots, but in the videos, the changes became more visible from the 5th or 6th month. At 1 year of treatment, they completely looked like a man. Would this be Tetsuo's goal ?

So since childhood Tetsuo/Rika has been acting like a man. She didn't play with girly stuff and liked battleships, she didn't want to wear dresses, let alone being married to a man

actually, she stated that this was the motive as to why she killed her mother

. So is she into women ? and what was she feeling when she was thinking back about Amano ? does she see him as just a friend or something more ? Well, actually, after what I just saw in the last chapter, it seems like, due to her "condition", she doesn't consider herself worthy of his friendship or something like that, I'm not very sure.

Yep, we dont know what she´s into, maybe both? Anyway Tetsuo is really an interesting character, one of the most i ever read i think.

@Stress: It's pretty interesting, really. I thought I'd never use the term 'femme fatale', but it describes her to a T. When the story relaxes a bit and she plays nice, you might forget she's a woman, but the contradiction and the secrecy are part of the charm. The rest of the time, she's seriously dangerous in an unmistakably feminine way.

Chapt 19, page 14: I call bullshit. In the rendered she magically has her legs crossed, but in the following panel her lags are both strapped down. WHAT IS THIS MADNESS!?!
