"Carpe Diem"--Horus (seize the day, or live for the moment, also popular cavalier poetry in the mid 17th century I believe, off the top of my head)
character(s)/idea is nice, but I would be more interested in a slightly diferent tack..., then it might be good for you to peruse the following information. Also, if you don't really like this story at all, I feel obliged to inform you that this is not Mi Ri's best stuff, and batoto offers a poor selection of this particular author's work. Google (ah...that colloquiallism turned word) Hwang Mi Ri and see what comes up, and if you are still unsatisfied, then I pity your tastes. (though, now that I ponder upon that ultimatum/scornful jibe, I realize that nobody who dislikes Mi Ri's work-go ahead and hate the author if you want-would care about my opinion).
Alright, so this is the basic Hwang Mi Ri plotline. For those of you who don't know who that is...you obviously haven't read a plethora of manga/manhwa. The basic plot is as follows*: (btw, this isn't really a spoiler, b/c the author varies this drastically even though about 6 of Mi Ri's 15 or so stories have something akin to this)
Independent female MC (main character, b/c I just know that someone is going to wonder what that means) who is usually good at fighting (or at least more aggresive than normal) gets into some type of trouble with gangs, the arch-antagonist (some evil/messed-up guy), and/or the bitch trio (you'll know 'em when you see 'em), and ends up forming some kind of mutual alliance with an aloof, rich and/or uber-strong guy (who may or may not be stronger than the MC, but is usually wealthier-a super king-kah, one might say). Just so you know, Mi Ri writes/wrote (has written?...whatever) in a variety of genres, but it usually includes either some action, comedy, or romance (at least two of those most of the time), as well as some supernatural/fantasy tales (this is not one of those).
*take note that any plot summarized here is not endorsed by anyone but myself, and therefore is limited to opinion and memory, though I am usually not too biased and have an eidetic memory.
"Scientia Potentia Est"---Sir Francis Bacon (though it is also accredited to Thomas Hobbes, simply because he wrote more about it. There...you learned something).
