It's so weird reading a seinen when it looks so much like a shoujo. But it's really fantastic though.

Can someone please explain to me why assimilation is such a bad thing? I'm only seeing the benefits here.

So ya it seems like the benefits outweigh the few limitations/penalties/consequences/negatives. Well this is really dependent what you view as positives and negatives. I'd be serious enticed to join the dark side. Seriously. It's so tempting.

That witch inside the girl seems similar to Neuro (Nogami Neuro): they both "feed" off people's...essence...and are all powerfull characters. Personally I prefer Neuro because of his "grace" when dealing with a puzzle (those who know that insane face know what I'm talking about); that witch seems too much like Lust (FMA)- so arrogant in her dealing with humans; at least Neuro admited that humans were capable of creating the ultimate puzzle.
