Yeah, it's a fine old stock shoujo plot. Pretty standard telling. Nothing wrong with it, but it doesn't stand out.

There's nothing like a good cliche with the bad guy who is actually good and the cute girl. I'd actually enjoy it more if he really was cruel but oh well...
The art was very simple so it wasn't very tiring to look at it, there's not much to say about the characters since this is a one shot. This is the third time I've seen this plot already, though I don't really remember where I read the other two (since they were both one shots of a compilation).
