Happy Ending: Yuuko come back
True Ending: The world goes on without Yuuko
I prefer the true ending, just saying
Ok, I peaked at the ending of the anime (which was completed before the manga as far as I know, and the endings are different - in the anime, the old school building isn't demolished), but it's actually ending the way I hoped it would:
I'M NOT CRYING, NOT AT ALL.
I do ;-;
seem to be coming to an end >.<, my eyes just gonna burst out with tears( they waiting on the rim of my eyes atm)
If that were to happen, it means she'll no longer be bound to the school right? Then she can follow Teiichi wherever he went, happy ending. Yay
@Fennec. For the big part you are right there but:
First you have to know this is a manga and not reality. From the start this whole manga plot can't be true. Because people dont fall in love with ghost and dont speak and touch ghost and lust after them. If you say yes, then go see a docter right away (just a joke ahaha).
If we have that in mind every ending is possible. And why i think she could be back is because: Teiichi wont be at peace with it just like that, look at him in chapter 43: not satisfied at all. Because the way they parted is strange and regretfull.
You can say, in real life no one stays with there first boyfirend etc, but in real life you also dont fall in love with ghost ahahah.
I only say the actions based on chapter 43 it makes clear to me that it is possible that she would be brought back. And it is my personal opinion, that i would like it if she will be brought back. And yes accept your opinion but i say i am not satisfied with it.
And if you say no look at reality. Was this manga from the start based on reality?
Come on man a village killing a girl and becoming a ghost? then his own sister could life with it without getting punished? that is not how life works my friend. If this was real life. Dont think that they can escape there punishment. Because if a whole village is evil, there are Always people who are good between them who think with reason and will punish the ones who did bad things.
This is just an example that you dont need to thake this manga serious from the sstart. Because if we use real life knowledge on it. It will be destroyed. Because there is no way they will get away with it so easly. And Yukariko wouldnt be alive at all now. Because if it was real life she would be dead a long time ago.
I dont know how it ends. I think thatYuuko will brought back, and yes it is possible that she wouldnt come back and there will be a time skip etc etc.
All is possible here and real life cant never be compared to this if that is the reason why you think she wouldnt come back? then that is not a base because this is pure fiction. And everthyong can happen.
I have read much romance mangas and i know for sure this is not there last encounter. Because i have seen some manga romance stories and parting with regret? like Yuuko did from Teiichi is something that is implying she would be back. Yes she is done and has no regret but, she was clearly became attached to Teiichi.
The point of Teiichi and Yuuko meeting was to help Yuuko regain her memories and move on to the afterlife. It was a learning experience for both of them, helping Teiichi become a better person. Yuuko was already dead; they both knew their romance wouldn't last. It's just hard to accept it.
From here, I'm expecting a small time skip to a couple years from now, where Teiichi has moved on in life and accepted her moving on. A happy ending doesn't necessarily mean that two people in love live "happily ever after". It can end with them going their separate ways, becoming better people in the end. Besides, this is only Teiichi's first romance; how many times do people actually marry their first boyfriend/girlfriend?
Of course, I'm not against Yuuko coming back, though. I'm just saying that even if she doesn't, that doesn't mean the ending has to be sad.
Bakemonogatari
Yuuko will be back, she probably just graduated from a haunting spirit to a wandering spirit, think of it like a special two-rank promotion. So she'll probably loiter around some more.
(Pocky to whoever gets the reference!)
Something is telling me Yuuko will come back. There is still one problem here.
Yuuko has solved her problems. But she had regret till the last moment when she parted. And that regret was she didnt want to part from Teiichi.
And Teiichi also is not at peace with the sudden departure of Yuuko.
The mangaka still has to solve this problem. In the anime they solved it in another way but that way cant be used for the manga. Because there is a missing character in the story here.
Also the mangaka cant leave it like this, he has to spend a chapter were he shows how Teiichi comes to terms with the parting of Yuuko and that he is in peace with it.
If he doesnt do it. Then what is the point of Yuuko and Teiichi meeting? yes he helped regain her memoris but what about them?
At the moment they mangaka only spend time solving the problems of the grandma but Teiichi is left. Unhappy, cant accept the departing of Yuuko.
That is the hint from me that. Yuuko will come back.
Is it just me but I wish Niiya would punch the crap out of the lady. I have this feeling left and it won't be quenched until Niiya would punish all those hypocrites.
I mean, they did kill a person and so on... all of them. So why should they be forgiven when they hid what they have done and not confessed to the police? In the end, even the grandmother pretends to feel guilty and acts the victim to feel good about herself. I never seen any sincere feelings from the grandmother.
Someone punch the grandmother and also the grandaughter.... man, she's annoying. Still admires such a rotten human. If the person close to me is like that and I care about them, I'd give them a piece of reality. Not idealistic crap "you're forgiven"... so what? I mean, it should be said "take responsibility for your actions!".
Argh. Sorry for the rant... it's all pent up. It was clear that a happy ending was unlikely in a ghost story and it is in a way a happy ending, depending on your perspective but there are so many things left lingering.
I realy feel this manga is gonna end in two chapters or so.
Why give Yuuko such a hopless ending. The grandma is forgiven just like that.
If it ends this way then it will be a fucked up ending.
Then really they wouldnt have put a Romance tag on it. Because were is the Romance?
The problem that is not still solved here is the following:
Yuuko and Teiichi didnt part in a good way. It was rushed and they didnt tell there feelings to each other. That is way i think Yuuko is not gone yet. Because if they end it this way then what is the point of Teiichi meething Yuuko and parting in that kind of way?
Oh man, seeing Teiichi feeling all lonely without Yuuko is just painful. Her constant teasing and making Teiichi all flustered and awkward was the best.
Yukariko finally opens her eyes thanks to Kirie. I guess Tasogare is ending in a few chapters. D:
some of you people are stupid when it comes to reading the manga.
So you sacrificed your sibling who loved and protected you and think that 60 years of repentance is worthy of forgiveness? If this happened to me, and I became a ghost. I'll be doing some poltergeist actions in her house!! lol
how about to read the update before reading the comments then,...DUH
Some of you people are stupid when it comes to posting spoilers.
bullshit, the grandma deserves to suffer
Kirie should grow her hair out ...
Thanks to Kirie I feel that legs are totally underused in ecchi manga.
dem feels.
T.T
There's no gauge for suffering. Most of the villagers involved in her killing are dead. They would have died anyways from the plague, whether or not she died. In that sense, they never received what they "deserved." As a society, we strive to make everything a just world, when in reality justice is just a subjective moral thing. We can never know how much she suffered because of her foolishness (her being fictional and all), but to make her suffer anymore at this point is pointless. She's already been forgiven by the only person she harmed. It's just over. I hope it stays real in the sense that some people never get punished, and never feel the weight of their immoral actions (mainly the villagers), but some people do live in regret and anguish because of decision like Granny.
Killing her, torturing her, etc does nothing for society except fulfill your expectation of "Do bad thing"->Punishment. She's no longer a threat to society, she's not going to be killing and torturing her sister anymore, and there's really no need to do anything anymore. Storywise, it took ~60 years to forgive her. In our lives, these things happened over the course of a year, and slowly, so of course it's fresh in your minds. But keep in mind that time and the experiences with the MC and Co. healed her grudge, and she just wants to move on. Maybe someday you will to.
