Im glad everyone enjoy the series we will keep working hard to bring the fans what they want to see, I actually liked spark it gave us details that regular senran kagura kind of floats over and details are needed when reading senran or you become lost due to the nature of senran kagura and its lack of arcs the first few chapters lol. As always we will keep everyone up to date especially since comic alive released chapters 10 and 11 of main series so stayed tuned on the senran kagura regular for updates and surprises lol.

lol, shit. I thought the names and personalities were similar/familiar but I can't believe I didn't realize Katsuragi and Ikaruga were the same freakin' characters from the other series until they spelt it out in the last chapter. How embarrassing. I blame the lack of updates for Shoujotachi no Shinei while Spark was releasing (lol, just kidding Deus Ex scans, you guys do good work). Ah well, at least this development adds some needed depth to the characterization in the other series; I'm gonna have to read through that again with new eyes opened to Katsuragi and Ikaruga.

Overall, this was great and I suspect will make Shoujotachi no Shinei much more enjoyable. Thanks to the guys at Deus Ex for all their work over the past week.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this before but isn't this more like a prequel to the regular Senran Kagura then a sequel. The female characters in this appear in the other as well but this seems to be before Hibari and Yomi joined the group.

Im happy everyone is liking the releases , I was wondering if anyone knew a japanese translator with some free time, I have two projects sitting on my desk in which I would like to find a translator just for those two projects, a lot of them are TRAP comedies, ongoing and one shots, but I also have a great gender bender, josei series with alot of action, story, great art. The story is called Bokura no Kiseki

I'd always thought "shounen" just referred to the primary target audience being young males.

@ Zero seriously. Shounen doesn't mean there is a male lead or male guy getting all those hot chicks.... Shounen Means more-like "Battle Manga" in Japan..... Think about it why has Naruto Ichigo and Luffy still haven't got a main girl for like 500+ chapters (sadly tho Naruto was the closest.... if only Sakura was not an ass, and Hinata why you so shy -__- ----- *just saiyan*)

Nooo, new character...the end of my yuri subtext already (maybe) lol. Chapters 3 and 4 were fucking awesome. Also, I am not always a boobs man, but shit, Katsuragi and Ikaruga's character designs just ooze sex, they are fucking gorgeous. Well, the new girl looks great too.

But still, I'm hoping for continued focus on Katsuragi and Ikaruga's relationship.

Also, the plot moves freakin' fast in this edition of the franchise. I wonder if it will only have a couple volumes? It feels like it'll be shorter than the other manga, anyway.
