He gamely goes about his menial jobs at the theater, surrounded by beautiful girls who seem to know a lot more about what's going on than he does, but he's about to be swept into a roiling world of robots, demons, and hot girls in uniform.

There's this bizarre tendency for side characters to keep calling the main character an idiot despite all acting like idiots themselves, I've seen it a number of times and it's never made sense. It's very tiring, especially in cases where the main character was kept in the dark and given no reason to go along with what he's been told. How can you call someone an idiot for wanting to protect people from dangerous monsters, rather than being a ticket-clipper for a theatre? -_-
