Just by the plot alone, you can tell this is a typical romance novel... However, this one has a bit more polish than most. The art is actually very pretty, which puts it way, way above a certain sparkly Halequin-manga-thing, which I still shudder to remember. The characters are kind of typical romance characters, but the typical romance leads are different from normal shoujo or josei leads, so I guess that could be a nice change for some. Still, I could just raid my mother's stash and read an actual romance novel...
