I agree with Randrakan564. What's wrong with pointless spin-offs? It's something to read isn't, or would you rather sit around twiddling your thumbs doing nothing? Also, nobody is forcing you to read these pointless spin-offs.

These manga are based of a really popular light novel. The "main" manga isn't the original work and due to the novel's popularity, of course plenty of spin-offs come up. This happens to a lot of light and visual novels, they first get adapted to manga and then several spin-offs (most in 4-koma form) start to show up. This gets especially strong once an anime is released.

So what's wrong with more spin-offs like this? It's fun to see a different side of things. Not only that but I like the art in some of the spin-offs more than in the "main" manga. And some spin-offs actually follow the light novel better than the "main" manga in some details.

@Purple Library Guy: I would actually read a spinoff about the ramen guy. But this kind of completely unoriginal pointless stuff I don't see a reason to even write.

Just how many spinoffs does Papa no Iukoto need?!
I mean, it's a nice little manga, but there's nothing particularly amazing about it unless you count the amazing size of club president's assets. It's got what, like half a dozen different spinoffs now . . . next it'll be a spinoff about the guy who served them ramen one time, or about some preschoolers who know the little girl slightly.
