Nana to Kaoru

You know... all the people whining about batoto because an s&m manga is blocked is kinda funny. Why come to a site if all you're going to do is bitch about it? Even more, why stop using a good site just because it doesn't have one thing you want? You don't stop using youtube because you can't watch your favorite tv show on it, do you? There's nothing stopping you from using multiple sites, is there? Kids these days, I swear (and I'm more than willing to bet that most of these people whining are too young for this kind of manga anyway).

I'm complaining because they're censoring something I want to read, not because they're censoring S&M. It is kinda understandable why they would do this, but they have other "inappropiate" mangas, as the two I mentioned, and they are not banned. If I would want to masturbate, I'd go to fakku, but that's not the case.
Why would I blame youtube for not having a TVShow, it is a tube site, not a TV replacemenet. Users upload videos they want to upload, TV Channels do not have any obligation to do so. On the other hand, there are users willing to upload this kind of mangas here, but they cannot. Why? Because they are "inappropiate" mangas. So Gantz isn't inappropiate -even though there are characters having non-explicit sex in there- for some uknown reason to me.
I'm not "bitching" because they are banning this particular manga, but because they are banning manga with sexual references because "they are frowned upon" and "society thinks badly of them". I guess every mother in the world thinks highly of To Love Ru ~Darkness~, then, because it is not getting banned.
I can understand they position, but if you are going to ban some inappropiate material, then ban them all, and upload them at the +18-batoto-page they said they were gonna host. Or something. Dunno.

Not even sex, full nudity or lolicon. To Love Ru darkness has more sexual content than this, yet this manga is the one getting a ban (or Kiss x Sis, ffs).
I read online manga in batoto 'cause it has better quality, but if you are going to label as 'inappropiate' every SEINEN manga that has sexual content, I may as well go back to mangafox. It has crappier quality, but they are less bitchy.

Well,checked here since I recognized the title,only to see it's apparently not okay to show some way too serious girl getting rid of her tension by embarrassment..
(Which I might add that others should look into aswell,the part about getting rid of your tensions that is,by whatever works for you.)

personally for me, this is why i wont be using batoto, i would love to have a site where i could gather all my mangas and get updates when new chaps are released just like what glorious onemanga once was, but if i still have to go to other sites to read other mangas that are deemed "inappropriate" that kinda defeats the purpose and my old system works just as well and then having 2 systems just becomes a hassle.

While as narrow minded as we are the staff of Batoto regarding the S&M of NTK, the point behind removing it , was not just because it is a bit hardcore or not as much , but what that those scenes represent.
While you lucian4384 argues that Freezing probably shows more nakedness , the reason for it is fan-service and not as much focusing on the sexual expliciteness that an S&M play represents.
And yes it will be super ultra fine if batoto can open up an adult only section , but it can't, so i guess you guys will have to deal with narrow mindedness.

if people can't understand the deeper meaning in what is happening they need to take a good look at themselves. Like Kaoru makes Nana look at herself!!!!

From what I have read of this manga I would have to say, that the definition of 'hardcore' etc. lies pretty much solely with the admins - that is, the borderline manga are removed at their discretion.
Pity, actually, this was a good one - same holds for some other manga.

I'm not going to say that they were right to remove this manga but it is my opinion that this manga is pretty hardcore, enough so that I've never really felt like reading it. When all is said an done S&M is essentially a sexual activity and rather than how much exposure there is in it it's more what the story is about.

wow they are so lame locking this god they have other mangas like to love ru darkness no issues there and this one has few nudity at all really its about s&m .

I came here because i though it was an excellent place to read manga, but they have this ridiculous rules, i mean come on, they show a boob, oooh no evil evil go back to hell, i cant believe it, anyway i will have to read this some place else.

Actually, for what I understand, the advertisers just want the site to be free of sexually hardcore imagery. But since the Administrator thinks that "objectively, Nana to Kaoru has pretty hardcore stuff.", Nana to Kaoru was removed. To quote:

So here you have it. According to Trebor, The Administrator of batoto, Nana to Kaoru was prohibited precisely because "it has pretty hardcore stuff" and "shows the sexual act in great detail." So yeah, batoto pretty much considers Nana to kaoru a "hentai manga" thus is banned from being posted here. A pretty sad thing really, since I really wanted to support Batoto but things like these really force me to rethink my position...

Advertisers are also the people who decide what content can be shown on tv and what words can be said on the radio. FCC might seem like they do this, but what can and will be said aired or shown on the radio and tv will always be with in the guidelines of the advertisers paying those places there money.

Alrightee, I was going to support Botato, but they let the holy ADVERTISERS pressure them into removing this. If Botato starts lying down for pressure like that this early in their existence, then in a couple of years this place will be censored down to Disney level.

Freedom of speech and of art are important! There is developing a strong trend for advertisers to become the de facto Official Censors of the Internet. It's an inevitable development because advertisers don't normally defend principles (like freedom of speech and art). They only care about money.

Folks, if you don't resist this trend, you will only be watching kiddee comix on Internet "manga" sites in a few years. Get ready to be bored.

Well, I was more than willing to trade Mangafox for Batoto at the request of one group that scanlate one of the manga that i read, but seeing this kind of precedent I will go back on my intention, specially after reading the reasoning behind the decision.

hmm.. I can think of some worst things but I suppose the border to closer here but of course it's not like this only manga site.
