I don't think the harem tag is appropriate for this one. it's more like a series of encounters. and only one of the girls he's encountered would actually consider him a boyfriend candidate. think about it: if this were a real harem, would he be so miserable??

Ok so,it's not like Hayashida is the best girl...it's more like she's the only good girl. The other ones...GOD, this guy's harem SUCKS ASS.
I like it so far, yeah, but damn can't there be better women out there for him?
This manga really makes you think, huh. I wonder where my love life would be going
this manga's depressing mostly, but at times it can be, dare I say, inspiring.

I don't like this. I don't like this at all. This author gives us one of the best female characters that the main character has met, and she has even teased us of a possibility that they could be together.
And yet... and yet... I just know she may not the girl that he will end up with in the end.
This is so frustrating.
Although the chapter left on a happy note, I just want to lay down and cry.
Thanks for the chapter, it made my night complete. Next up is Itsuka's story, my favorite
She is but that's why they wont end up together, cause best girl never with MC.
Edit: Not that it matters since our MC is useless. My only wish for this single mother is to find some nice guy, we don't know what happened during all these years but I'm sure it's been a bumpy road for her so I think she deserves happiness.
