This one is good. I recommend it :D. Too bad it seems like there won't be any update soon.
"I really get annoyed by all the genre bigots"--Aren't you the genre bigot?. Depending on the kind of "shoujo" one has been reading, there'll bound to be some differences in one's idea of what a "shoujo" is/supposed to be, doesn't matter its actual dictionary definition.

Bigot is such a harsh word, in my opinion, when one was just trying to express one's opinion. I don't sense any bigotry nor complain on the quality/mangaka from Luph's comment. I don't sense any "diss" to the shoujo genre either.

Anyway, I think Luph's comment is fine and at least it gives me some insight on the kind of manga this is.
I realise I might have taken the wrong approach in advertising the manga, but I was attempting to emphasise how it subverted typical shoujo tropes in a manner which would resonate with those harboring a stigma against such a genre and, thus, have them give MnA a try. If my comment sounded condescending, it wasn't intended.

As dumb as it may sound, that was my line of reasoning at the time. On the topic of genre bigotry, I just see it as something people grow out of, however unpleasant it may be in the meantime (also consider: it isn't uncommon for a vocal minority to overshadow a silent majority, hence a perceived 'abundance' of stereotyping. Or maybe I'm overthinking things).

Presently, a number of my favorites are under the shoujo tag. And if I ever find a reason to dislike a manga nowadays, it's based on its merits. I do apologise for any offence you might have taken from my prior comment.
"considering the shoujo genre tag"--I really get annoyed by all the genre bigots, especially since nearly all of them rag on shoujo. I personally read more shoujo than anything else, but when I read a shounen do I spend all my time saying "Well, for a shounen there wasn't that much pointless panty-flashing or accidental boob-groping" or "Amazingly for a shounen one or two of the female characters showed flashes of personality beyond 'tsundere' or 'seductress'"? I do not.
It's not like shounen or josei or seinen, or yaoi for that matter, lack their own stereotypes and hackneyed crap. But it seems like there's this license to diss shoujo like it's the only genre that ever had less than stellar writing. The average quality of shoujo is about as good as any of the rest--which is to say, lots of it is crap, just like all the rest.
Here's a clue: If you don't like romance and shoujo tends to emphasize romance, that is not a quality issue. You wouldn't like Jane Austen either, but not because she was a bad writer.
Better than expected, considering the shoujo genre tag--the drama isn't overly exaggerated, the plot is interesting, and the characters are genuinely likable. On a related note, the art style is reminiscent of D.Gray-Man's younger years, but the gothic elements have been toned down to suit occasional moments of humour (a plus in my book).

Overall, MnA can be dark at times, but the mangaka deals out the drama in moderation, creating an immersive read. Recommended. (excuse any syntactical disjointedness u_u)
Dark but Interesting!! There's still a lot of mystery about this club and more questions pop up
