While i do agree with you on that matter, please do not bring up medaka she can do everything, from sports to academics and so on.Such characters are boring but again you do not meet them in life or even if you meet them they are inferior to those from mangas and i bet that every person who read manga is doing that because it's fiction and not reality if i wanted to read some realistic story i would take newspaper  (sory about 2 comments misslick )

I giggles at ppls that think Sue types are bad.

Mary Sues (and Gary Stues) are boring and childish.

They are the typical characters a kid will come up with when writing a story for their school: "This one is indestructible and can't be killed and he can destroy anything just by thinking it and if someone stronger comes he trains and then becomes stronger than him. Also he knows everything and can do anything".

Medaka, Momoyo, Kirito from SAO, and many others are just like this; they are just one-dimensional characters without any specific or important weakness. They can do anything, whenever they so damn please. And, since most "otakus" are teenagers (of body OR mind, that is, they are physically teenagers OR they act like one), characters like this will obviously be pretty successful (to be fair, though, Medaka is a parody of these).

On the other hand, we have characters like Sei from Suicide Island, or Sakamoto from Btooom!, which, in my opinion, are much more interesting, since they aren't as linear and have to actually work a bit to achieve their purposes. Both of them have definite weaknesses that can't be just "shrugged off" by training for a week, and that add, at least, a bit of deepness to their personas.

Well, at least, in my opinion.

Why do people really expect harem in this Majikoi manga?

 

When I played the VN, it's not even about harem at all. It's not really focused to romance either.

It's more like SoL, crazy stupid fighting, friends, and dream.

Because the anime, maybe?

so probably the manga copy that one instead and might have different ending compared VN or anime ...
