Now Mairunovich has surpassed printing 2,000,000 copies. The 12th volume (last volume) of Mairunovich is scheduled on August 25.

i haven't even caught up yet but i have to say that the award goes to naru/mairu for being the most annoying couple i have ever encountered in my career of shoujo manga

It's announced that Mairunovich has surpassed printing 1,970,000 copies.

Thank you Ayano, for being so bad ass and sane. For slapping Mairu and doing what she needed and what I wanted to do.

But really, three month break from school? Over a boy? Got me the most angry.

This girl belongs in a mental institution.

A lot of teenagers do, lol.

This girl belongs in a mental institution.

So this whole chapter was about Mairu losing her pretty identity, then returning to her plain identity, and now back to her pretty identity...
One step backward one step forward...
Her pity party for the whole god damn 5 months didnt exactly make the chapter any better either...

I don't know how I feel about this manga...sometimes I'm just kind of mad for the superficiality of it.
Of course she's still so young and naive, but it's not like a fashionable hair style can really change you.
Fine,it's part of your interior growth changing your outside look as well...but it's very sad how everyone else (I mean her classmate etc...) only notice her when she looks like a model. I mean, try to have a bit of personality, girl! And don't feel like a trash because some jerk dumped you.
And please stop making the "Finding a new love <3" thing the centre of your life, try to enjoy friendship and other things as well.

I'm glad she got over with the trash so quickly, I seriously wound't bear to read one more chapter of that shit, thank you secondary girl whose I forgot the name, that was really good reality slap.

For the record call her amazon.

It seems our girl is back on her feet -- good for her!

This manga always gets to me

The latest chapter looked more like the mangaka was trying to set up a physical makeover for Mairu.

Honestly, reading the reactions in the comments sections is almost better than reading the manga itself. I've never read a more passionate bunch of comments!

I haven't read even one page of the manga yet and I'm thoroughly entertained. I just wanted to read a few of the first ones to see what the manga might be like, and ended up reading them all. I don't like getting hooked onto painful-to-read stories, so I'll skip the manga, but I think I might come back sometime just to read some more comments.

Looks like there's no rebound.

Mairu...do you know what you will do if you lose "The One", you find "Another One"

in response to the contents of cybertina's post.

Post is a little long so I'm using a spoiler tag.

Kimi no iru machi...well it just seems like the publishers and mangaka are milking it for what it's worth down to the last drop. I stopped reading it after Haruto got together with Eba in tokyo during college (finally). Plus it's a seinen so the structure of the manga is not expected to be pre-teen/teenage females. And if you include the slice of life tag, that just pretty much makes the audience just about anyone (therefore the manga isn't something like bubbly-eyed shoujos) which can make for more interesting commentary as well. Lol this commentary was kind of pointless.

The fuck Mairu? Get off the damn floor, girl. "I feel like trash.." Says the one who wasn't cheated on? Sure, Naru's own circumstance can warrant some sympathy, but not really. He's not getting any from me. So mad about Mairu though like... what the hell? Did she really just say 'needed by a man'?

You've clearly never been to http://www.batoto.net/comic/_/comics/kimi-no-iru-machi-r29

That chapter was so full of emotions but story-wise empty... Hate chapters like that.

Edit: I forgot to say this, Naru-kun you feel like trash cause you are trash it has nothing to do with been by Mairu's side.

Hmmm...so people don't understand why the author write (and draw) THIS? I mean.....you guys always hate the shojo manga heroines, just because theya are nit assertive enough. That's so culture-blind paradigm. Well, if you're teenage girls (which I'm not, I'm in the 20s, or i'm going to be 30), I can understand. When we were teens, we just so idealistic, we just want our own Utopian with our own perfect world filled with perfect people...or we're the only ones who may have flaws. No kidding.

I think most of shojo manga authors made their mangas for Japanese audience, esp. the girls. It means, they need to portray the expression of real women or girls in Japan, including with the harsh reality. And Mairu here is just an example of those ordinary shojo heroines that portray girls in Japan. I think Why Sato-sensei draw this manga is because she wants to depict these realities (although is not very empowering) of being stupid, over sensitive and indecisive because of first experience with love.  And some people just can't hold it. Well, maybe they are perfect after all. So perfect that they always play cool even in their first love.

Well, maybe you perfect girls (or guys) can be a little flaw-ful here? Mairu is just a girl, OK? And she just started dating after her looks changes. If you never date, you know nothing about dating or love. Being assertive is never been on the agenda, because you have zero experience. And just like you guys teens, the protagonist is also very clueless about this. Maybe you guys never been clueless (well, you guys are very perfect, flawless people anyways, right?)

And BTW, this manga ia about a Japanese teenage girl, so we can assume that there is cultural shock going on here. In Japan, girls are less assertive than in America (if you are, since I'm not, I'm Indonesian). And they are more submissive, because that's how their culture shape them. That's the ideal Japanese woman. You like it or not, this is the fact. Maybe we like protagonist like Kyoko Mogami better, but as I concerned, she's just a diamond, one in a million. But Mairu is like  many girls in their first relationship (maybe he's the second, but c'mon the first is..so not real boyfriend anyway). If she;s our friend, will we blame her? That's very hypocritical then. Just read as if we are her friend and be empathic.

If you don't like the story and other shojo manga story that contain this kind of character, it's simple. Make your own story that satisfy you :)

Naru, a boring, mildly narcissistic meathead -- I can't say I'll miss the twatwaffle.

That last page "2nd boyfriend", makes me think that mairu will date like... a lot of guys and knowing her she will fuck up a lot and makes us rage because of her stupidity. If this manga keeps getting weaker I will probably drop, And I'm sure I wont be the only one doing it.

anyways, thx for the release matteiru scans ^^

No Mairu, you don't deserve Tenyuu. Go back to Naru, he's as much as you can deserve in a man. (note, I express this opinion because I've resorted to "hate-reading" this manga). Just look at the duration of your relationship, about 3 months and not even 3 because in the last 20-something days you couldn't be considered a couple. And plus, in that time, you've expressed that friendship isn't worth that much of a damn compared to love. Please, we can all find love to experiment with, but it's the friendships that support and help us remain who we are long before love can develop into something like that. what I mean is that love is hard to find but true friendships can be even more difficult to find. one's lover can be her best friend but that won't happen any time soon at all for someone like Mairu. the fact that she just threw the only person in her life away in just less than a month of dating, for a relationship that wasn't a sure thing, hm....

@Maroon-Chuu

I'd love to credit Naru for those but I can't help but think that all those situations could have easily been avoided if she confided in Tenyuu and didn't invest so much in her love. Look, she hasn't even established herself an emotional foundation for any sort of relationship and she thinks she could easily jump into love like that without any support of any kind? Her naivete has rubbed off as being annoying to the point of extreme dislike of her. Yes, Naru has some fault but mind that a relationship consists of two people. She could have dealt with all of this in a more cleaner fashion if she had someone to rely on but she threw that out the window for a relationship that wasn't even for a month yet. Even for a first love, having a friend one can confide in can make the relationship more worthwhile.

I'd hand it to you though on the idea of her development. She can't possibly get any worse. It's all up hill from here so time to redeem yourself Mairu and don't think about touching Tenyuu until you do that.

While the pages not loading until I forced them to (something that happens just after a chapter is posted) was excrutiating, this was a good chapter.

Let's finally move on, Mairunovich.
