Man Lost Universe is awesome! It's too bad it's not as popular as the author's other works such as Slayers. Interestingly even though Slayers is fantasy and this is scifi, they're actually connected by the fact Lost Universe takes place in one of the four worlds (with Slayers in another world) that were created by the same god.
