I didn't want to read this based on the description but seeing all the bitching back and forth on the comments page I think I'll just pass it without worry...
*Insert comment saying how shitty Americans are here*
Just trying to go with the flow.
oh, and actually started reading the manga to get an idea what you are talking about...
"go rape her bro" is used in the american english context of "beat the shit out of her"
Point taken... to an extent.
If I directed every single one of those stereotypes at an individual, it would make no sense. By applying it to the citizens of a country (not talking about culture... ever), the sterotypes are pick and choose between people. The only people who should get angry are blindly patriotic half-wits and politically correct bigots. Every country is represented by their stereotypes and they typically aren't the nicest rumors to hit the streets.
Ikegami Eiichi and Oh Great need hang out, discuss about their awsome art and dire need for a competent writter for their stories.
Haha, americans sure got a great butthurt. The most notable moments are v***na on the front page of the magazine and failure of oh so great F-15.

Terrible manga with non-sensical "plot" if you can call it that.
Saying that Americans are "slutty blondes, arrogant assholes, big lipped black guys, military soldier [sic] that tells buddy to rape girls, and the mother effin [sic] cia [more sic] just to name of [sic] few" is a fact is an awfully strong insult just to "stir up a crowd". You seem to be forgetting that politicians get to where they are by pointlessly demonizing their enemies to the point of making the simplest issues divisive.

Still, though, I don't see the merits in evaluating a culture based on it's "weakest link". If we all did that wouldn't every culture be known for the same thing -- i.e. drug addiction, violence, racism, etc.?
Baseless as they are, I'm not far from the point. It's just a quick line to stir up the crowd.

If you want to know what I really think about who we are:
The American dream is dead. While it wasn't perfect in its earlier form, our citizens have abused their freedom to the point that they feel that everyone else needs to take care of them. Now the dream is to sue someone so that you have enough to pay for alimony or child support. When you can't find anyone to sue, you take handouts from the government. Eating off the craze of hungry baby birds, politicians can get to high places by using words like "free" or "support".

This isn't a representation of even half our population, but a team is only as strong as its weakest link. The stereotypes provided do represent some actual people and until we work together to strengthen each other, we are those stereotypes. United we stand, divided we fall.

@grandking3
lololol who are u trying to fool?
if u r
put more effort into it dumbass
The Bastard's comment was as asinine and baseless as grandking's comeback was incoherent. Oh well.

Regarding the manga, the plot is almost completely incomprehensible. Scenes seem to jump around on a whim, most of the characters are hard to tell apart, and the dialogue takes seeing to believe. If you read the first chapter only it could come off as anti-American, as a few people have commented, (the marines are the old pastiche of crazy American stereotypes) but that changes later. I know I already mentioned the plot but it takes seeing to believe; the pages could be jumbled out of order and you wouldn't be able to tell.

The best comics show, not tell; this comic has done neither so far.
like the comment before this :S
even if it's who we are, it still falls into a certain stereotype you bastard, besides it's not just who we are, we are more than just the slutty blondes the arrogant assholes(jersey shore) the black guys with the 3rd, leg the psycho military buffs. we are not just corrupted officials and loud mouth drivers, we do more than just sit around getting fat and saying "it's a jersey thing." we're the home of Nasa inventors of the artificial heart and so much more we are over 300mill immigrant strong so no it's not just who we are.

Weird but interesting?
I can't seem to follow this manga.

It's just... mashed up.
those aren't stereotypes, thats just who we are
ugh this really is terrible, god this manga is so rife with American stereotype it burns my eyes.
slutty blondes
arrogant assholes
big lipped black guys
military soldier that tells buddy to rape girls
and the mother effin cia just to name of few

@Bui Hieu Duc be more specific you potato spud, the always naked blonde, dennis, her friend? and don't say no offense when you intend to be offensive.
lol no offence but she reminds me of a whore.
I'm speechless. The story is told in such a ridiculous way. And yet, it's so intriguing that I just cant stop. Damn! This manga ... I hate it and like it at the same time.
You know there has got to be a woman out there like Samantha, but at the same time, she is just too damn ridiculous to have a real life equivalent. Definitely a interesting series. Probably gonna keep an eye out for it.
Not terrible just confusing as hell.
why is this so terrible
Hmmmm . . I want some of that Hershey Kiss
