Kongou Banchou

This is over-the-top shounen battle-manga at its finest.
Sure, it was often dumb, some character were inconsistent, the power levels were fluctuating like hell and it was often ridiculously contrived and/or cheesy, but god dammit it nailed the most important aspects perfectly! I came for an awesome battle-manga and got just that!
A likeable main character, insane and often silly powers, larger-than-life battles, nakamas, funny comic relief... I would say there are many mangas that do the individual aspects of this series much better, but this is the single best mix of them I have ever read.
Five stars!

Started reading this a couple of weeks ago just finished was awesome from beginning to end

Salamat mga indoy ug inday ug sa imo Suzuki Nakaba sa pag-palipay sa akong kaugalingo. I love to hear more of the adventures of the future banchou jr.

This manga also teaches us to punch the crap out of women if they act like bitches lol. 10/10 manga would read again.

I arrived late to the farewell of this manga but I have got something to say about this. This was one of the best works I have ever read in my history of manga reading. When I first started reading this I was a bit depressed and angry at the world with people ( and myself) always complaining about things and never getting anything done. At first I read this because it was another way to ignore it all, but I felt as if the main character was speaking to me. Kongoh never complained about his problems, he worked them out, always putting one foot in front of another, he always cared for his friends and showed mercy to his enemies and pointed out the things that some of us just hid within ourselves. This manga in my mind showcases not only what it is to be a man, but to be a good person in general.

Because of this manga I began to try and follow my own path and way, be a good person who will stick up for their friends and work towards my goals instead of blaming the world around me.

Kongou Banchou, Suzuki Nakaba, Bedros and crew, I thank you greatly for this work and I think that this is just something that is just gold in my eyes the very least.

P.S. Why the hell does this not have an anime!

Definitely one of my favourite reads this in the last few years. Nice to seem a mangaka doing it properly for once XD!

1. Takeshi is dead (His name on grave)
2. Bungaku Banchou still loves Takeshi (Her visiting his grave)

This is one of those series I'll come back to in a month or so, only to re-read the whole thing from beginning to end.

One of the only manga I've read where I have never gotten bored of it. May actually be the ONLY manga that I've never gotten bored with.
