I agree with Purple Library Guy - I don't know what magazine these originally serialized in to make them shoujo- but they really come off a lot more josei. Which is not a bad thing in the least.

The first story was a look at mothers & daughters. The second, issue that usually only impact "second" relationships, and the like. The third dealt with a woman deciding what it was she wanted from her life. The last dealt with how situational changes can impact younger children. All the stories are well conceived and executed, even in the (relativity) short page count allotted to each. I've read books that dealt with some of these issues with a lot less flair and aplomb.

Recommended.
The 4th story is so touching!!!
These were so sweet, and not one of them was a cliche.
agreed all oneshots are really good!!
OK, ch. 1&2 are also impressive. This is a great volume of one-shots, and I'll be looking for other stuff by this mangaka.
The scanlation community is pretty awesome as well. It's kind of amazing that I owe thanks for being able to read this volume to three different scanlation groups and two different uploaders and the Batoto folks. Talk about your co-operative effort.
Wow.
Well, I don't see ch. 1 or 2 yet, so I can only comment on story 3 and 4. Story 3 is very warm and has a different atmosphere from your typical shoujo (or josei--it feels a bit more like a josei 'cause the characters are adults). And story 4 left tears in my eyes, I'm not ashamed to say it. It's a beautiful piece of bittersweetness about a lovely brave little girl. I recommend it highly.
