tip: pay attention to the drama details, very shocking lol. this romance wont work out, i guess

This series was going pretty smoothly until MISUNDERSTANDINGS...

Now this looks like any other cliched romance manga.

i am feeling that this is all needless drama at the moment that is pulling me away from what originally made me enjoy it

So, I just started reading, but

Stupid drama aside, from around chapter 7 onward, Shake is now my favorite character. That's saying a lot, man, there are some pretty likable characters here. He's like the comic relief while NOT being the butt monkey, making him just, uh, an awesome cool guy.

Well, he's probably acting this way because he's thinking "all girls that get close to me eventually start hating me"- he doesn't want this to happen to On-chan.. or something.

Hotaka should just go for On, they have good chemistry. >_<

It's pretty hard to make your audience care about a romance when the pair never fucking talk. Soga and On's relationship is, at this point, much more interesting and developed than Hotaka and Niki's (more like Niku amirite).

This manga isn't badly written, but holy shit did the author drop the ball on character interactions. The MC and his love interest feel like side characters in their own story.

@badang234: Read the first couple pages of Chapter 8 again, then you'll understand.

Did the art just power-upped?

There may be two reasons for this: it is the chapter in which everything resumes after the hiatus caused by the cancellation of Dengeki Daioh Genesis, or it might be due to the fact that we were able to use the tankobon as the raw image source this time around.  Normally we have to use the magazine raws.  That, or wait a year.  By chance, though, the new chapter came out in the magazine and in tankobon form on the very same day.  We got both, and elected to use the tankobon . . . which is where the extra artwork came from.

That was in the tankobon after this chapter.  In fact, the Golden Time 3 tankobon had an equivalent ad for Evergreen which will presumably be included with chapter 17 of the Golden Time manga.
