well first off that was month ago when i made my comment on that the reason i said crappy wasnt even my opinion i was using that to show people crapping on it when the show didnt have as much chapters to base it on like i said before just be glad they made an anime out of it cuz i know a number of manga that are freaking amazing ecchi / border H. Oh i will watch it eventually i like pretty much all ecchi comedies doesnt matter if people say its good or not i just watch them for fun, currently on Mitsudome at my anime club i go to every other week.

Less tsun and more dere and this might be even more enjoyable to read...

@baroner ....dude go watch it. Dont comment if you haven't seen it. T2Needles has it right. There are actually anime out there that deviate from their origins and still turn out well. This isnt one of them. Like T2N said, its just fanservice. Would've been better off if they just cut the crap and made an H anime out of it. And even then ppl would call it sub-par for lack of interesting plot (believe it or not, even H-viewers want a decent plot). The anime is what I saw first. I hated it, so I said "hmm, there must be a manga for this somewhere" So me and my buddy Klasfer (he's somewhere on this website) decided to find it together. And thats when we realized; The anime is a load of crap and does the manga and LNs no justice at all. Of course, this is all my opinion in the end.

If you'd like to have a base for that assumption of yours. Go watch 1 or 2 eps of the anime. 1 was all I needed. But i gave it 3 because thats my principle. Hated almost every minute, if not every minute.

@unc15 Well I'd say or the light novels, but sadly no one is translating them, probably because of the quality of the anime. Not sure if you've already read it, but I personally suggest High School DxD for anyone looking for some good ecchi reading, especially the light novels since it's caught up to the current volume which only came out a few days ago in Japan. The manga scanlation is also only a chapter behind Japan at this point, and it covers up to where the anime stopped for now.

Like Saracin said, this manga originated from the Light Novel, so the anime's problem has nothing to do with the manga having few chapters.

Most people are against the anime not because it's story differes from the manga or light novel but because they focused only on fan-service in the anime. Practically turning something that could have been an 8/10 into a 4/10, they tweeked the story(decreasing its value by it not even being close to sub-par of its origin) just to be able to add in more fan-service and when i say more i mean tons. The anime practically turned into something only people who are looking for eye-candy could stand to watch.


In the anime they basically said "screw a proper plot/story, lots of fan-service will be able to cover for all the terrible jokes and lack of plot, as for the romance lets just make it a Harem! Oh and why don't we add more fighting scenes!?! So that you know, we can add more fan-service" honestly they were getting really desperate and trust me there's alot more problems with the anime but i wont bother since it'll be too long.

@baroner Actually in most cases they use the Light Novel as the source, so the anime actually passed this point before it finished. I'm assuming that would be the end of the 2nd volume. There's also a good chance of a second season this year, so we'll see if it gets better.

i dont get why people insult the anime at all i havent seen it but i figure this even if it doesn't do the manga justice it still means the manga was good enough for it to be made into anime so its nice to see character animated but even its "crappy" it may be due to lack of material like having only 18 chapters out does limit what it can use to it has to make up a lot of stuff to make up for that lack material to use. So really just be glad that it has a anime version a lot of others only have ova or nothing at all.

hope this doesnt get to the same plot as the anime does to tell you the truth i've watched the anime and it was horrible wish the manga doesnt end up like that shitty plot
