However things get complicated when, following a brief encounter, his sister, Chie Ashikaga, introduces him to Roka Kitsuregawa, an acquaintance who also becomes infatuated with him. Out of jealous spite for her rival, Roka attempts to dissuade Yuuki by claiming to like Makoto Itou, another schoolmate. Her lie dramatically backfires, as Yuuki, aware that Makoto is Kotonoha's boyfriend, goes to ask her about the affair. I wish makoto had ended up all alone.he deserved it a lot.for the scumbag he was the whole story.

I came here expecting to see a nice boat.

Seriously, no offense, but this ending is crap. The author has to cook the whole sh*t, that scarred us all for life, back up and tries his best to make me hate Makoto even more than I did before. We all know how it happened in School Days, but in Cross Days, they should atleast put him on a stake and roast him like the worthless pig he is. The author must know, that 100% of his readers hate Makoto with a passion. The fans want to see his blood. Give me blood, Sakazuki-sensei.
I think the problem is the anime Makoto was just a d*ck but not evil & manipulative like in the manga but he get a nice boat ending, while in the manga he's like so people wants retribution.

oh shit. i guess school days scarred too many fans. they had to balance it out LOL. Btw guys he gets killed 5 times in the VN (even worse then the bad ends in school days like dam) So feel free to play it.

I love how people were expecting a Nice Boat style ending just because the anime did it...yet they are forgetting (or just ignorant to the fact) that the School Days VN had 25 endings and only 5 were bad endings (4 that included death) which leaves 20 neutral to good endings!
As far as I'm aware the Cross Days VN also has good and bad endings.
I did not enjoy Makoto in this manga tbh, I liked him in the School Days VN where he's never really made out to be a dick, he's often pushed into doing the wrong things but he doesn't act like a jackass about it. Hell, he's usually a pretty nice and chill guy that worries about others...the GIRLS were the ones that were aggressive bitches to him or/and eachother in a lot of the routes. Even in the VN's Harem ending he's chill and friendly.
I feel sorry for Makoto, most people only know the anime version (and now this one) xD

Nice end. The main charcters in this have a nice end. The writer really made Makoto out to be a real jackass in this manga which was quite opposite of how he was in School Days. In School Days the girls were the aggressors and he just went with the flow.
