You know, during this chapter he seemed to mention a couple of times that he was doing "Normal High-School Guy Stuff", like actively drawing attention to it and kind of chuckling about it, kind of like he needed to remind himself it was normal.

Thats totally time travel thing, somehow when in tower , he met the past version of heroine and give the phone straps, then, if she had killed him back then, the phone straps would dissappeared and thats how the vision of her crying is seen, regrets,

however, if somehow MC is back in present, and explain or known so that he is the important person to the heroine, but somehow it lead to lovey dovey  plot with MC with other girl or his cousin, which led to her crying scene aswell, but im not surprise if death flags involve in this too

Great, the fun cousin character is totally gonna die. At this point I'll be more surprised if she doesn't than if she does.

I have somewhat mixed feelings towards this manga, almost everything here is cliched but that's the same for other mangas, but seeing another naive character who got power up from someone..... probably will result in him changing his personality permamently or for the time of battle.

So that's the one they captured when they had ina with them huh?

My guess the tower is some kind of spacecraft or time continuum from the future that a group of survivors of humankind sent back to space to avoid the "apocaliptic" future where monsters and whatever you can imagine exist. They end up being killed in the past by the people who are searching what the tower is. Namely toujou and company.

I think that Classmate is somewhat inspired in the Dark Tower series from Stephen King. Is just too similar in concepts.
