But then, it might be because it's a story by Carnby and I'm expecting everyone to be "troubled inside"
(still I don't think I'd ask for directions, or trust just one stranger in these situations)


Even at these last chapters I was reading everything with an ah okay sort of feeling like, this is a dark story and just that.

But after reading Mello Holic somehow the atmosphere and everything has taken a sharp turn for the worse and I'm expecting practically anything.
Strange how the intensity and horror feel of the story increased several levels just because of that.

The other really likes to establish how bad the antagonists are...but this is starting to get really really repulsive.

 

And yet it is working for me.  I really want to see them all face a karmic death.

Rape is a special kind of evil that deserves a special kind of punishment.  My brand of punishment?  Have the same actions be taken on the rapist and then mutilate the rapists genitalia.  And since this is a "religious" guy, let's get all Spanish inquisition in here!

*sigh*  Ok, now we've continued to establish that the place is bad, something that originally took 2 panels.  Now, at least give me some of the MC trying to hit the kid on the head, make something happen instead of constantly establishing an atmosphere that was already established.

For me, it's not even remotely boring.

The pace is perfect, considering lately we more often following the story of a detective.

Slow pace is perfect for detective-ish story style.

But I love the mystery of the plot.  It's so much fun!
