Main characters never die(Unless it's Akame ga KILL). They'll just get the shit beaten out of them, their nails ripped off, maybe their face maimed, their balls cut off...but never, never killed.

It's a very good manhua. One of the best I've read so far. To those complaining about the narration, understand that this is not a manga; it's a manhua. Hence the style of story telling is very much different from your run-of-the-mill manga. Third person narrative is very common for these kind of comics. Another trait would be the action sequences; manga fights pale in comparison.

I agree with some of the other comments. The art is extremely well done and the story is pretty decent. The narration however... It's just plain anoying. It's like they author believes that you are completely retarded and has to describe every movement, moment and detail even though you can clearly see yourself what is happening. Sometimes it's even like 3-4 bubbles of text explaning the SAME THING with different words... Well well.

the story is interesting and i like the art, but the narration.... i feel like reading a book rather than a manga, the narration descrbes every single thing word for word thus making it way too long to read. i guess thats just my preference though, but anyway its a good read so far.. really linking it, thanks EGscans!!

The old art was definitely much sharper, and this was what made each fight look so awesome. If you compare AV's fight in chapter 7 (vol 2) with any fight in volume 1, you can that see it lacks in both power and detail. Also the comic faces in the new art looks really weird and out of place.

Whilst the new art would certainly not stop me from reading this manga, I can understand people's point that the art is not an improvement from the old.

Seriously, some of you must be blind, the art style is the same as before, but the coloring style has changed. It had more shading and was a lot darker before, giving it a sort of SIN city esque feel, but now it's just more vibrant and colorful. And if you want to drop this just because of a little coloring change, you need to get your head checked.

I don't really like the change in art in volume 2 either, the art was one of the best things about this and I don't like the way it changed. The story is still pretty much in line but it is not as nice to look at.

at first v2's art disturbed me, but after a bit of time, i dont really mind it anymore, since im more concerned about the story rather than the art...dang the page with the pic of av's gf made me feel horrible, knowing what happened to her from the past chapters ~__~

Overall, not bad. A tad cheesy at times, but just as much funny, action packed, and well paced. Not to mention wholly human. Thank god I stumbled upon this manga--I'd have a lot more free time if it weren't for it.

I also like the old style better, but it's not like this one is bad either, the characters just look a little more childsh, the story is still great so that's not a reason to look down on this series for now.
