The story does get better later on, including answering some plot holes.

I think I'm just about done with this one. I came for the Horror and Psychological bits which were really great at first but now it's turned into a rather slow school mystery - which is not so great. I've given it a long leash but this whole 'let's study for exams' bit really rams it home that this is never going to get back to being interesting for me.

 

Too bad, it was really well drawn.

About the kami/god character
It's obvious that the character have been used, but just like the fire character burned herself anyone with a god character wont live long since the applications for it ain't many.
First of if you summon god just like they summon a katana out of nowhere or fire it wont behave like you want it to anyway, most likely dislikeing being told what do do it will make short work of you.
If you turn into god we will most likely have another yama, since then you will be god not yourself anymore.
So kami is probably one of the most useless characters there is.

This manga is lacking a tsundere character....
But if there is a tsundere character, I bet she'll die tragically.

@Lokin. While this manga has the survival Aspect, I felt like the plot is more of taking down the school itself, or at very least, learning why it exists. If it's learning the purpose of the school, that would lead to an even broader range of possiblities
