Worst. Detective. Ever. As mentioned by class_sleeper, first he accepts a drink from someone he's interviewing about a murder case. Yes, it's polite Japanese manners to serve tea to a guest and to accept as that guest but holy shit YOU'RE A COP. And then when he wakes up buckled to a chair? Scream for help while the murderer's still around. -_-

An oximeter is a finger clip that goes over the finger nail and uses a red light pulses to measure hemoglobin oxygen percentage. It does not test the blood itself, holy balls. I've had one of those clipped to my finger during doctor and hospital visits more times than I can count. On a related note, that butler is also a gullible idiot. Low red blood cell count? Take a note from Lance Armstrong's cheater book and go to a doctor for Epogen or Procrit shots. You know, the actual medical treatment for severe anemia.
